Have you ever been through a long trial? Maybe health has failed or finances have changed drastically or worse, prayers go unanswered for a long, long time. A spiritual battle is raging that you cannot see. You’ve pulled on the bootstraps until they’ve broken off in your hands, worthless. In fact that’s the feeling that sums up your life… worthless.
“I cry out to God, yes, I shout. Oh that God would listen to me! When I was in deep trouble, I searched for the Lord. All night long I prayed, with hands lifted toward heaven, but my soul was not comforted. I think of God, and I moan, overwhelmed with longing for His help. You don’t let me sleep. I am too distressed even to pray!”
So you question…
“Why do I try?”
“Does the Lord even care?”
“Where do I go from here?”
“But then I recall all You have done O LORD; I remember Your wonderful deeds of long ago.”
The time you thought the financial strain might break you, but you made it through.
The summer you lost your job… and your home… but another was provided.
The terrible winter a loved one was taken… but you survived.
The long period of illness when you prayed to die… but you didn’t.
God heard your prayer. He saw your need. He made a way.
“Your road led through the sea, Your pathway through the mighty waters-
…a pathway no one knew was there!”
The Lord has you on a path you cannot see. No one even knows it’s there.
Walk steady dear child of God.
The waves will part …
And soon you’ll be on the other side of this long, long trial.
Sounds like expiernce writing. Your a blessing! And you are blessed by an amazing Heavenly Father. Thanks for sharing!
